My side of the family is full of boys. Garrett was the first boy and Gavin the last, and four more in between...that's 6 boys in less than 5 years. That all changed Saturday...we now have a girl! Baby Lilly.

Day At The Museum
Garrett loves everything about Egypt and King Tut. He knows more facts and has read more books about them than any other 8 year-old, I'm sure. He even made us watch a two hour documentary on Tut and then other on Cleopatra. Well, guess what...it just so happens that the state museum has a King Tut exhibit going on! So, we had to check it out. Garrett LOVED it, and said many times it was the greatest day of his life! I asked him what his favorite part was and he said All of it. Grant said his favorite was when we went the wrong way and saw that fountain with coins. This was not part of anything just a fountain at the entrance to the museum! And what did Gavin say his favorite part of the day was? It was the lunch we ate at Shoneys. Guess those two didn't care for the museum as much as Garrett!

He Means Business
Garrett's class had Business Day today. They and a partner had to come up with an idea of a product to sale and advertise. He and his partner picked bookmarks and pencils. They set up a table and sold their product to the other 2nd graders, with fake money of course! It was fun to watch them sale. Maybe I have a future millionaire on my hands!
