Im On A Bus

Grant got to ride the bus to school today! I'm not a big fan of them ridding the bus, but on the days I work it is so much easier.

He's A Big Kid Now

Today was a BIG day at our house...Grant started Kindergarten! He was so excited and so ready to go to his new school. He has the same teacher his big brother had, and we love her! She will be the perfect teacher for Grant. We all did very well today, nobody cried. He went in like the big boy he is, he would not hold my hand at all...he knew what he was doing and didn't need my help. My favorite part of the whole day was when we got to his class he looked at his new teacher and said "so, are you any fun?" Seriously...those were the first words out of his mouth.
I am so proud of the big boy he has become. He is the funniest, cutest kid ever and I am more than blessed to be his mom. Here is to a great year!

Fair

Saturday, we met up with some friends and went to the fair. I think it was 5000 degrees outside with a heat index of 5020. Way to hot to spend the day outside in the sun, but when you can get in for free and get armbands for $10, you just don't say no. We did have a good time. I was in charge of being the adult to ride with Grant while Clay took pictures...so below are all the pics we have, and I took them all! We will just say the heat made him delirious:) Gavin wasn't with us, he had gone to Alabama to spend some time with his cousin Carlie!

2nd Grade

Today, is the first day of School! I can't believe Garrett is a second grader. He was very excited for today! He picked out his own outfit... this is the first time he has ever picked to wear a shirt with buttons and a collar all on his own. In the past if I even let on that I wanted him to wear one he would cry. He picked out a super cool messenger bag for this year, with matching lunch box. He has said everything has to be good or that's not a 2nd graders outfit, shoes, back pack...about 20 times in the last week. He was a little nervous about the fact that he only knew 2 people in his class and they were both girls. We got to meet his teacher, Mrs. Heep last week, and can I just say we LOVE her! She was sweet, energetic, and full of personality. Garrett I hope you are having a wonderful time today, I hope you make lots of new friends this year and learn a ton. We love you!

Theres A First Time For Everything

Garrett went skating for the first time ever this weekend. I was kinda scared to take him because I wasn't sure how he would do, and I didn't want him to start 2nd grade with a cast! He did great! He fell a lot but he always got right back up with a big smile on his face. It was so funny to watch, I have never seen anyone skate the way this boy did. His feet moved so fast and he only went about an inch with each stride. After 20 minutes or so of trying to get him to move his feet a little less I gave up and let him do it his way. I know it had to have been exhausting to skate like that but he went at in for two hours nonstop. In the video below you see him come around and skate off the floor, that was the only time he stopped...I stopped taping and walked over where he told me he was ready to go! the last picture shows why I love this boy so much...He truly enjoys every moment of life! I love this video! You can see how hard he works at it...just like everything else in life, this boy always gives it his all!

9 years goes fast

I cant't believe Clay and I have been married for 9 years today! Guess time really does fly when your having fun! Happy Anniversary Clay...I love you!
